Forty Plus of Philadelphia's professional development program is designed to improve each member's management of the job search or career change. Members have extensive access to six volunteer professional counselors and coaches. Our counselors offer practical, hands-on training and advice covering every aspect of the job search. Topics include goal setting, personality testing, research techniques, resume preparation and writing, networking techniques, letter writing and informational and job interview preparation. Interviews are video taped and critiqued by facilitators and peers. Our professional career counselors each volunteer one day of their time each week for individual counseling sessions scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis for each member.
