History of Forty Plus of PhiladelphiaForty Plus of Philadelphia, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides professional job search programs, valuable networking opportunities and a wide variety of resources to former executives, managers and professionals from private sector business and industry, education and government. Our members have diverse backgrounds in such fields as law, corporate training and development, association management, government, information systems management, public relations, sales, engineering, medical, scientific, marketing and finance. By pooling years of expertise, Forty Plus members help themselves find new jobs and start new careers. Forty Plus was established in 1939 by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Arthur Godfrey, Tom Watson of IBM and other distinguished Americans to help bridge the gap between the unemployed senior professional and the job market. Since its founding, Forty Plus has helped thousands of qualified persons find meaningful positions of their choice. Currently, there are nine Forty Plus organizations in the United States. In its 64 years of existence Forty Plus of Philadelphia has helped thousands of professionals find employment. |
