Fees & RequirementsForty Plus of Philadelphia is run and supported entirely by its members. In keeping with our philosophy of self-help, and to help keep our services affordable to you, we have no paid staff and our counselors and coaches donate their services. Membership is limited based on the following requirements:
New Active Members pay an initiation fee upon joining Forty Plus. After joining, active members pay monthly dues on the first of each month. Members who succeed in gaining new employment become alumni upon hire. Alumni Members of Forty Plus pay annual dues on January 1 of each year. Our fees are reasonable and significantly lower than those charged by for-profit outplacement services. Contact us for more information. We also encourage alumni to make additional contributions to support the organization. These contributions will be applied to monthly dues if the Member reverts to active status. In order to get the most out of the Forty Plus program, Active Members are expected to:
All Active Members are also expected to help operate the office by scheduling at least 10 hours each week when they will be in the office. During their scheduled times, Members should be available to answer phones, handle e-mail and perform other office support duties if necessary. Active Members are encouraged to serve on one of the chapter committees: Alumni, Information Technology, Marketing, Membership, Placement and Professional Development. Invitation You have an open invitation to join us at our office in Center City Philadelphia on Mondays at 12 noon for our regular orientation sessions. We'll give you a tour of the facilities, an overview of our services and a chance to meet a few of the members. Normal business attire is appropriate. You can also make an appointment to visit at other times as best fits your schedule. Please call 215-923-2074, or fax or e-mail (info@40Plus.org) your resume to us. |
